Last year was the first year since Sophie was born that I didn't put in a garden. It felt wrong all year. Now, I remember why. It is so very fitting to get up every morning and mosey out back and take pleasure in the miracle of God's work in my little patch of green. My dearest Mother came and helped me put it in about a month ago. 95% of my garden beauties were started from seed....they feel almost like children. I'm so proud of them.
Dearest Dan is busy this weekend building trellises for the rapidly shooting cukes, peas and beans...and a trellis of sorts for my tomatoes. Everything is doing beautifully.
Dan built the beds for me...four of them. They are 4x12 and there is also a 12 x 12 one for potatoes and a bit of corn.
Purple Mustard and Spinach....yum.
